Recently, Overwatch's new hero was officially announced, and after, Blizzard released the hero in the game's PTR.

In the test server, the hero's specific combat skills were revealed for the first time. Let’s break down his abilities.

Hyper Spheres: Sigma launches two gravitic charges, which implode after a short duration, dealing significant damage in an area.

Experimental Barrier: Sigma propels a floating barrier to a location of his choosing. He can recall the barrier at any time.

Kinetic Grasp: Sigma stops incoming projectiles in mid-air, converting them into shields.

Accretion: Sigma gathers a mass of debris and flings it at an enemy to knock them down.

Gravitic Flux (Ultimate): Sigma manipulates gravity to lift nearby enemies into the air and slam them back down.

As the game director Jeff Kaplan said in a livestream, Sigma gained the ability to manipulate gravity, but his mind was unstable and so he was locked away. and he is a scientist from the Netherlands at 62 years old, one of the older characters on the Overwatch roster.

It's also worth noting that Sigma is a Tank hero, given the new Role Queue feature, where players attach themselves to certain roles when heading into a match.

Typically, about a week after sigma is in the PTR, he will go live, but Kaplan said that there’s no guarantee on Sigma’s release date.
