North American organization Cloud9 have completed their Apex Legends roster, relying on familiar battle royale experts to carry the banner in battle.
C9 first entered Apex in late February, signing streamer and content creator PVPX. Their latest expansion now features players with rich experience in competitive battle royale, signalling that C9 plan to be a force to be reckoned with, should Apex Legends esports becomes a thing.
The new trio have all played for Cloud9 in some capacity or another. Justin “Chappie” Andrews won the Gamescom PUBG Invitational Duo FP tournament together with Alexandru “SOLIDFPS” Cotiga, and represented the org up until his retirement last April. Joseph “Frexs” Sanchez has also played PUBG for Cloud9, but also H1Z1.
Cloud9’s final player is none other than Greg “Grego” McAllen. Formerly an Overwatch player, Grego helped C9 to several championships during their peak in 2016, winning five online tournaments for the blue-and-white jerseys. Grego was first introduced as a Cloud9 player Mar. 1.
